I know what all you normal people are thinking but I’m more in the region of having too much to do (which may contribute to the other problem) and not coping so well anymore.
So what am I on about? Content! Yes content…website content specifically and how you have a great website or blog but time commitments with everything else in life is threatening to turn your pride & joy into an online archive. Destined for discovery by e-anthropologists only.
Regular attention to your website is the most important aspect of your online presence. Why? Well let me ask you…do you wear the same clothes all year? Do you say the same things everyday? Do you visit same boring people every week? There’s your answer! Everyone and everything must stay fresh to maintain the interest of others and keep them visiting. Incidentally, if you answered yes to the above then I urge to stop reading right now, turn off your computer and make an appointment to see someone for some help. The rest of you keep reading.
Now that we’ve established the need for freshness and the fact that you don’t have the time or perhaps the skills, you wonder how to do it. Hire someone! You could approach the company/person that did your website initially – or is there reason you don’t do business with them anyway. An alternative is a specialist content management company that actually uses real people to be your proxy. All aspects of your website content are managed with as much involvement from yourself as you want. Discuss your particular requirements with them and don’t be afraid to ask for a ‘try before you buy’ option.
Now I don’t think you’ll have trouble keeping that up.
